Licensing Scientific WorkPlace


Licences

We hope you're already planning to buy your own copy of the software.
Whether you're wanting to run Scientific WorkPlace v5.5 or v6, you can choose:
  1. Either: A Permanent licence. Pay all the money up front to buy the licence outright: UK pricing for a Permanent licence to install and use Scientific WorkPlace on all your computers is on our Licence Calculator. For those outside the UK, click these links to get the approximate price in your currency¹: Commercial price or Educational discount.
    And with the permanent licence, you can choose whether:
    • We supply a Scientific WorkPlace v6 serial number – this will work with both v5.5 and v6; or
    • If you prefer Scientific WorkPlace version 5.5: We can supply a dedicated v5.5 serial number and we will also give you free lifetime access to the videos of our £4000 Scientific Word/WorkPlace v5.5 Standard Two-Day Training Course.

  2. Or: A low-cost Annual subscription to access Scientific WorkPlace version 5.5 or version 6 through our Floating licences:
    • You will run Scientific WorkPlace v5.5 or v6 on your own computer in the usual way, but it will obtain licensing from our server each time you open the program; you will need to be online to do so.
    • The annual charge for one named computer is 25% of the cost of a Scientific WorkPlace licence. That means you will pay around £150 for 12-months' access to Scientific WorkPlace v5.5 or 6 (click here to see £150 in other currencies) – plus VAT if you are in the UK/EU.
      And we'll reduce the cost still further to just 20% for the first 12 months – making it only around £120.
    • There is a Fair Use limit of 1000 hours over 12 months; for example, you could use Scientific WorkPlace for 5 hours a day for 200 working days. This is not intended to restrict anybody – simply to mean you shouldn't leave Scientific WorkPlace open when you're not using it, eg. overnight.

You may order directly from the Licence Calculator, or by fax or Email. We have systems in stock and process Orders within 24 hours (but check our Holiday Closure dates) with an Invoice on 30 days. Alternatively, we accept credit card orders via PayPal (no PayPal account necessary) for payments in advance².
